This year was a very special year for everyone I guess, but also one of the most impactful years for me personally when it comes to sharing knowledge, connecting with people and helping others to achieve more in their daily business using Enterprise Mobility solutions of Microsoft.

I set a personal focus on Windows Virtual Desktop and FSLogix, combined with the efficiency of MSIX App Attach, which especially represents the topic of my blog.

Already in May, I had the huge pleasure of being awarded with the Azure Hero Content Hero badger and now, in December I feel so honored to be awarded with the rare (1 of 550) Community Hero badger.

What is an Azure Hero and how can you become one?

Microsoft describes these badgers as a proof of achievement for sharing valuable knowledge or contributing to the community in an outstanding way.

To become an Azure Hero by yourself there are actually three steps:

  1. Nominate yourself or a community hero around you. Community members that have demonstrated verifiable impact in one of several categories will be chosen to receive a badge
  2. Selected recipients receive a personalized QR code which can be scanned with your phone – follow the simple instructions to claim your digital badger
  3. After you become an Azure Hero, be sure to share your digital badger by using the sharing link in your wallet to post to your favorite social media using the hashtag #azureheroes

Being awarded, for the second time with a rare badger is a complete honor for me and I have to thank a couple of persons, which appreciate the way I’m sharing my content and support me throughout the year. This is first of all my wife for the private support and the time and of course a special thanks to Tom Hickling, Christiaan Brinkhoff, Simon Binder, Neil McLoughlin and Stefan Dingemanse for showing me what we can achieve together instead doing something on our own!

I’m proud to be part of the WVD Community and can highly encourage you to participate to improve our daily business, as well as those of others!

Take care and have a great end of the year 2020!

Patrick
